You say heat wave, I say Gin & Tonic time! And this French G&T certainly will do the trick! Very refreshing, floral and fruity, perfect for a summer’s eve. The G’Vine Floraison is the first of the two G’Vine brothers and their origin is found in the Cognac region of France. This G’Vine Floraison is one of the very first gins that uses a grape alcohol (from Ugni Blanc grapes) as it base spirit. This is the same alcohol from which cognac is being made. You can imagine this gin will be something completely different, so be sure to try it out.
What Do You Need for a Great G’Vine Floraison Gin & Tonic?
– A balloon glass, filled with ice (2/3)
– 5 cL G’Vine Floraison Gin
– Some dried hibiscus leaves
– Two grapes, each one cut in half
– Thomas Henry Tonic Water
The Perfect Serve: G’Vine Floraison Gin & Tonic
Take a large balloon glass and fill it up with ice (use a lot, about 2/3 of the glass). Stir the ice inside the glass to let it cool (you can use a bar spoon for this). Remove any excess water with a cocktail strainer. Add the dried hibiscus together with the grapes. Don’t forget to add 5 cL of G’Vine Floraison to your glass! Next, add a half bottle of Thomas Henry tonic water. Try doing this at the edge of your glass, but you can also use a bar spoon for this. Just try to keep the bubbles of your tonic in stead of pouring in the tonic all at once and lose any sparkling sensation while drinking your GT.
Have a great G’Vine Sunday!
