The gin for this G&T Recipe is none other than the fantastic, small batch, Whitley Neill Handcrafted Gin. A gin that is true to its name: ‘Handcrafted’, and that is something you can taste. It all feels very soft and round with a classic juniper and citrus base. Whitley Neill Handcrafted Gin is somewhat sweeter than your average dry gin, but very nicely balanced. True craftsmanship! I’d like to serve it to you in a refreshing and classic way. Hope you’ll enjoy it!
What Do You Need for the Perfect Whitley Neill Gin & Tonic?
– A balloon glass, filled with ice (2/3)
– 5 cL Whitley Neill Handcrafted Gin (1.7 oz)
– Grapefruit zest
– Juniper berries
– AQ Tonic Water
The Perfect Serve: Whitley Neill Handcrafted Gin & Tonic
Take a large balloon glass and fill it up with ice (use a lot, about 2/3 of the glass). Stir the ice inside the glass to let it cool (you can use a bar spoon for this). Remove any excess water with a cocktail strainer. Add the Grapefruit zest together with some juniper berries. Before you add the berries, make sure you crush them a bit between your fingers. By doing this, it will add more flavour to your gin and tonic. Add a half bottle of AQ Tonic. Try doing this at the edge of your glass, but you can also use a bar spoon for this. Just try to keep the bubbles of your tonic in stead of pouring in the tonic all at once and lose any sparkling sensation while drinking your GT. I’m happy with the result and, from the picture below, it seems the glass is happy too! 🙂 Serve with pride!
