Plymouth Gin & Tonic

Plymouth Gin & Tonic

The sweet one with lots of love

Valentine’s Day is already behind us, but that doesn’t mean I can’t share some gin-tonic love with you any more. The main part is reserved for the lovely Plymouth Gin, which is quite a bit sweeter than your average gin. I served this Plymouth Gin & Tonic last Saturday to my girlfriend and she went crazy for it. If you don’t score with this one, I don’t know what will… Here we go!

The Plymouth Gin & Tonic Recipe

Take a large balloon glass and fill it up with ice (use a lot, about 2/3 of the glass). Stir the ice inside the glass to let it cool. Remove any excess water, you can use a cocktail strainer for this. Throw in some pomegranate seeds. Actually, you can be very generous with this, because of the subtle flavour of the seeds. Also, it adds to the view of your perfect serve.Add 5 cL of Plymouth gin and top with 125 mL of Schweppes Lavender & Orange Blossom. Try doing this at the edge of your glass, but you can also use a bar spoon for this. Just try to keep the bubbles of your tonic in stead of pouring in the tonic all at once and lose any sparkling sensation while drinking your GT. Now this is a gin & tonic that truly invites you to a romantic evening. Hope you’ll enjoy this one!
