Mayfair Gin & Tonic

Mayfair Gin & Tonic

The Vivacious One

Dear Friends of the Gin & Tonic,

We’re on a roll! After our signature Darnley’s View Spiced Gin & Tonic, we’re about to serve you something new and heart-warming, again excellent for the cold winter days. Mayfair Gin? True, we haven’t reviewed this one too, but that doesn’t mean we can’t share with you the perfect serve. Enjoy!

What do you need for your perfect serve?

–     A balloon glass with lots of ice
–     5 cL Mayfair Gin (1.7 oz)
–     Three pieces of lime zest
–     A couple of pink pepper berries
–     Schweppes Premium Mixer: Pink Pepper Tonic Water

The Mayfair Gin & Tonic Recipe

Take a large balloon glass and fill it up with ice (use a lot, about 2/3 of the glass). Stir the ice inside the glass to let it cool. Remove any excess water, you can use a cocktail strainer for this. Put in the lime zest and pink pepper. After adding 5 cL Mayfair Gin, give it a stir so that all the flavours can start to mingle. Add 125 ml of the Schweppes Pink Pepper tonic water. Try doing this at the edge of your glass, but you can also use a bar spoon for this. Just try to keep the bubbles of your tonic in stead of pouring in the tonic all at once and lose any sparkling sensation while drinking your GT.
